Walter Sorrells, famed knife-maker and YouTube video creator, visited with Joey Berry from JB Knifeworks. There he learned how Joey makes a knife from start to finish. He made a knife alongside Joey in the Pop's Knife Supply shop. Walter then headed back to his home shop so he could attempt to recreate the process on video. The resulting (2 part) video was very detailed, and really shows how much work and detail goes into every JB Knifeworks handmade knife. Walter did a great job on the video and a great job on the knife.

Robert goes behind the scenes over to the Pop's Knife Supply knife shop to have knife maker Joey Berry of JB Knifeworks show you how to make a knife tangs ... specifically, how to make skeletonized full tangs as well as how to make tapered tangs.

SFT vs TT - Find out what the difference is between a skeletonized tang and a tapered tang, and all the steps involved in creating a very important step in the knife making process.

We're super excited to have Dragonfly Blade Works on Knife Outpost. We think everyone will enjoy John's knives. On top of that, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever care to meet. I don't know about you, but when I carry something with someones mark on it, I'd preferably like the person as much as I like the work they do.

John Coffman of Dragonfly Blade Works is part of the Fiddleback Family, since he is a former apprentice of Andy Roy at Fiddleback Forge. John was fortunate enough to work at Fiddleback Forge years ago when several top notch makers worked out of the same shop, names like Russell Reece of Cohutta Knife Co, Dylan Fletcher of Fletcher Knives, Allen Surls or WA Surls, Chris Linton of Osprey Knife and Tool, and of course, Andy Roy of Fiddleback Forge.
